Alex "Zabu" Szuba

Field Staff

Alex really enjoys learning about the landscapes we are a part of and helping others learn about it too. He's always game to test himself and to learn some new skills from others, highlights being fire making, wood crafting, stalking, and tracking.

Over the years Alex has had many different perspectives towards what we call nature; as a woods loving kiddo, biology student, county parks staff, and now an outdoor educator. Experiencing the land firsthand is always a joy, for Alex be it hiking down a trail or up a mountain, pitching a tent on an island or a hammock in a park. In all these places he's been able to find teachers too, like bending pines and quiet muskrats, to thunderstorms and soaring hawks. Alex can’t wait to share skills and stories with new people I meet along my journey.
