Field Staff & Wilderness Year Participant
Erika graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Outdoor Recreation and Education and minors in Communication Studies, Eco-Tourism, and Diversity Studies. After graduating, she started working with Hurricane Island Outward Bound School in Maine planning and facilitating 7-35 day backpack, rock climbing, and canoeing wilderness expeditions for all ages and backgrounds. Following that passion, she started working with North Carolina Outward Bound School working with At-Risk High School students from Florida. She then taught Outdoor Education in and out of the State and National Parks in California for a year before moving to Ithaca! Her passion is helping people disconnect from our tech savvy lives to enjoy and create strong relationships with our outside world and within our communities! She enjoys spending time outside, playing with dogs, listening to music, and eating good food!
