Jeremiah Aviel

Guest Instructor

Jeremiah grew up in the woods, fields and cold creek waters around Ithaca. His earliest memories are camping, canoeing, fishing, following animal trails and building forts with secret compartments to hide treasures found in the wild. He discovered Tom Brown, Jr.'s books as a child and was mentored by Dave Hall during high school, even assisting teaching at the first summer camps and after school programs. Since 2000, Jeremiah has attended a couple colleges, traveled to a bunch of countries and climbed many mountains. Through all that, he realized his passion is to pursue wilderness survival and bring that love and those skills to others. He strives to live as close to the earth as possible and in community with people and nature.
