Wilderness Year Participant 2016-17
Contrary to popular belief, I was not conceived in a test tube in the Canadian wilderness in a secret military base from where I escaped at 3 and lived with wolves until I was adopted by my human family. I was in fact born outside of Boston and lived around there until I was 7 and my family decided to transplant to a tent in Ithaca (only until we found a house to move into). Life was spent being in the woods as much as possible all through my childhood. Eventually I was told I had to go to college, but that didn't work out so well, so I ended up going to several of them and taking time to travel and work between, during and after. Eventually I managed to find my way back to Ithaca years later and decided it was time I focus on what I really want to have ingrained...wilderness survival. Other than that, I like the woods, adventure, travel, being active, food, a good night's sleep, helping people, creating things and learning.
