As a young girl, Sierra found her deepest connection to life through the land.
Forest Preschool Field Staff
Sierra grew up in the rolling hills of the Appalachian Plateau in rural NE Pennsylvania. As a young girl she found her deepest connection to life through the land. She spent most of her free time exploring the woodlands that surrounded her home and laying in the fields of high grasses in the mid-day sun watching clouds. This very same connection led her to Naropa University where she is completing her master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology with a concentration in Ecopsychology. Sierra’s educational focus is on the childhood relationship with nature. As a mother of a 4-year girl who loves the natural world as much as her mother did as a child, Sierra's own awe of nature is constantly renewed. As an Ecopsychologist, she hopes to continue working with programs like Primitive Pursuits helping children to explore their innate connection to nature through all of life’s magic.
