Dressing for Winter Fun Workshop

Winter Dressing Workshop with Primitive Pursuits + Ithaca Forest Preschool

Join Primitive Pursuits experts for a one-hour show and tell about dressing for winter play, followed by the short film "Arctic Outdoor Preschool" and a discussion.

Now in its sixth year, Ithaca Forest Preschool leads young children in outdoor exploration in all weather. Our staff have perhaps more experience than anyone else with dressing children for extended periods of play in the Northeast winter. This free workshop illustrates all of the concepts in the "Dressing Children for Winter Fun" brochure found on our website, ithacaforestpreschool.com. You'll see many examples of fabrics, clothing, and other gear that will help your child stay comfortable and safe outside in winter weather. Because outside is where the fun is!
There will be plenty of time for questions. For the last 30 minutes we'll watch and discuss the video 'Arctic Outdoor Preschool'. Those children know how to dress!

The information presented will be geared most specifically to children 3-5 but the information can be applied to all ages and we will cater to the needs of those attending.
