Tuesday Homeschool at West Hill
Homeschoolers were busy making deer leg bones to into bone tools
last week! They dove into the spirit of the deer this day, appreciating
the many gifts they give us both in tangible tools and awareness
skills. Did you know that deer practically didn't exist for a long
period in Tompkins county a little over 100 years ago!? We sure are
grateful they are in abundance here now. Updates to come on future
projects soon. . .
Ithaca Forest Preschool
Wednesday, the beaver theme commenced with a trip out to the beaver
dam. We heard stories all week to build up to the event, and it was
pretty special seeing all the kids reach the dam together.
Thursday Homeschool at East Hill
was an all-out immersion day, meaning we did not stick to our usual groups. We instead split up into 4 choices for the day. There was a
story-acting guild, a cooking group, a village camp remodeling crew, and
a crafting circle. The cooking group welcomed the story group over, and a meal was shared
in exchange for a play performance. The crafters made some innovative
throwing sticks, which fly 30% further than your average throwing
stick. Beauty also shared some stories and secrets about traveling, while food was shared with the village camp team.
See you after Spring Break!
