Forest Village Camp: Gooseberry Guild (week 2)
Conor Millard, July 16, 2019
The Gooseberries were guided through field and forest by their wise leaders, Monica, Emilia, and Alexis.
The Gooseberries had lots of fun and games this week. They also had the chance to learn some new and challenging skills such as archery. None of us knew anything about Archery, luckily we were able to consult with the Forest Archers! The Forest Archers, led by Master Szuba, offered to spend an afternoon doing target practice with us. There was only one problem; we didn't have any bows to practice with.
Monica thought about what was around us. "What materials might be flexible enough and strong enough to craft some bows out of?," she asked.
She found some honeysuckle branches. These branches were strong and flexible, the perfect material for bow making. See what happened next in the photos that follow!
