Jedi Academy: July 15-19

Conor Millard, July 21, 2019

The force is strong with these younglings. If they continue with their training they will soon be chosen as Padawan Learners and eventually, with determination, they will be initiated into the Jedi Order.

They endured trials of body and mind under the guidance of Master Tamarack, Master Sylvan, and Master Ryley.
A major rite of passage for a Jedi Youngling, is the crafting of their very own lightsaber. In days of old, long before iPhones and Tesla, the Youngling would travel to distant planets collecting all the necessary components needed to forge their saber.
Nowadays, many Younglings will go to Ace Hardware for their diatum power cell, focusing lens and resistant metals. Heck, some will even order their Kyber Crystals from Amazon Prime! The result, lazy and ignorant Jedi with no connection to their Saber! Lose connection to the Earth, and you have lost connection to the Force. This is a cause of great concern to our council of Jedi Masters.

Save the children we must!

Under close supervision of their Jedi elders, 11 carefully chosen "force-sensitive" individuals, hand-crafted their first lightsabers using natural materials gathered locally from this solar system. It is clear to me; the careful attention to the materials of the Saber creates a bond between the Jedi and the world, a bond that will guide them in spreading the light!

See you next summer, friends. May the force be with you.

After meditating with Master Ryley, a Youngling levitates for his first time.
