Fun at the Creek and Beyond: July 29 - Aug. 2

Megan Pugh, August 2, 2019

Our fifth week of summer camp (July 29-August 2) saw cooler morning temperatures and an abundance of sunshine and positive vibes!

I caught up with a number of campers on Thursday morning enjoying the Monkey Run wilderness area. There was stone skipping, wading, face painting, small critter exploration and a whole lot of good old fashioned summertime chillin' going on.

I wandered further afield in search of the Forest Village Day Campers and found them deep in the Hickory trees engaged in imaginative games, fire making as well as a bit of stone drilling and beading.

Elias and the Archer's Apprentice group proved a bit more difficult to find but after some careful tracking and a bit of luck I came upon this dedicated bunch as they made their way through the forest to the beaver pond.

Luna's Fire, our all-girl camp wasn't found (by me) on Thursday, but I do know they gathered on Friday morning after their overnight adventure for a hearty breakfast by the creek. Liz was invited to join them and I am told she snapped a few shots to share...I'll post those separately in the hopes that they will have a story to tell us from their week of adventure!
