Jeremy Betterley

Field Staff

Whether it's shooting a bow, strumming a guitar, or wrapping cordage Jeremy is the master of all strings wise and wonderful. Having grown up in rural Massachusetts and on the rocky Maine coast, he is no stranger to deciduous hardwood forests and soft sprucy soils. As a youngster, books like Gary Paulson's Hatchet and time spent hiking across the northeast all pointed to two core points of Jeremy's philosophy—that we all deserve to experience a close connection to nature, and we also have a responsibility to return the favor by taking care of it. When he's not in the woods, you can find him playing music, recycling and composting, and serving fresh local fruits and veggies to kids in the Ithaca City School District.
