Summer Day Camp (Ages 6-10)
Dates & Locations
| August 13 - August 17, 2018
Finger Lakes National Forest
Travel into the wilderness of the Finger Lakes National Forest to celebrate the peak of summer and feast on berries! Follow streams and beaver trails, and tell tales of big adventure around the cook fire. Learn to navigate and travel safely in the vast landscapes and blueberry thickets. Go beyond “survival” and practice “leave no trace” principles while we learn to care for ourselves in this wild place. New option: sign your camper up to be transported by CCE van to the National Forest! Limited spaces; add $40 transportation fee. Van will leave from CCE at 8:30am sharp. Drop off at CCE 8:15-8:25am, pickup from CCE between 3:45 and 4pm.
Dropping Off at CCE:
The parking lot at the office can be a bit of a challenge with lots of coming-and-going at CCE.
To help everyone navigate drop off and pick up more easily, we ask that you use the following system in the morning and afternoon:
Please park along the side streets. Dey Street is usually the easiest to access and park on. There will be an instructor near the CCE garden gate on Dey St. to receive kids in the morning or send kids to you in the afternoon.
† Tuition is based on a self-determined sliding scale. Funds received above the minimum go to our scholarship fund as a tax-deductible donation (you will receive a receipt at the end of the year).
