Nathan has been frolicking with Primitive Pursuits since he was very young. He loves how Primitive Pursuits honors nature, and he enjoys and looks forward to giving back to youth in this spirit through mentoring. At camp, he learned, the forest humbles you. If you listen to the forest, it teaches you that you are not the center of the universe and the world is bigger than you. You are important and you leave a mark on the world, and also you are one small part of a greater ecosystem. The core values of camp he wants to instill in the campers are the three respects: self, others, and nature. This ensures our community connects and grows through communication and treats nature as a living being. Nathan is looking forward to attending SUNY ESF in the fall to earn his degree in Environmental Resources Engineering.
