Programs running through the Rural Youth Services do not register through Primitive Pursuits.
Youth who live in the communities of Ithaca, Caroline, Danby, Dryden, Enfield, Freeville, Groton, Lansing, Trumansburg and Ulysses can enroll in free or low-cost programs offered through Rural Youth Services (RYS).
Since 1995, Rural Youth Services (RYS) has provided a place to try new things and to belong by offering engaging activities after school and throughout the summer. Programs are free or low cost to participants.

Dryden Enrichment
Join Dave Hall of Primitive Pursuits each week and learn the tools of survival right in the forests around your school. Together we’ll work on all of our survival skills including building weather-proof shelters, traps, matchless fire-making, and finding wild sources of food. Each week will be a new adventure full of challenges & games to push your skills to the limit.
This program is for middle school-aged youth from the Town of Dryden school district.
