I’m thrilled to be returning to Primitive Pursuits this summer as an instructor! Growing up in Ithaca and attending Primitive Pursuits as a camper, this organization has been a meaningful part of my life and in part spark in my passion for environmentalism and outdoor education. Recently, I graduated from Amherst College with a degree in Environmental Studies where I had the opportunity to explore this discipline in a formal setting. I also worked as a docent at my college’s natural history museum, where I led education programs and loved sharing science and curiosity with learners of all ages. I love learning about the and spending time outdoors, and I believe it is essential to understand how deeply interconnected and interdependent humanity is with the earth. I look forward to sharing my passion and curiosity and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards. In my free time, I enjoy creating beadwork, rock climbing, and wildcrafting.
