Elias grew up in southern Indiana and has been playing in the woods building shelters, hunting, gathering and sleeping under the stairs since he was a young teen. He’s determined to find land, to build his homestead and live a simple and close to the earth existence amongst the other animals.
Elias enjoys interacting with wildlife through trapping, hunting and fishing and being able to provide for himself empowers him. He enjoys practicing and sharpening his skills in primitive crafts and technology, using materials from the forest. His background includes participating in various primitive skills camps in Washington state and Indiana, and he recently completed the 9-month Wilderness Instructor Apprenticeship program with Primitive Pursuits.
Sharing his passions, curiosity and excitement with youth lights his fire; keeping ancient art forms alive through teaching, adds purpose to his life.
