Born and raised in Ithaca, Nora grew up exploring the woods and creeks by her house. Being mentored in wilderness skills such as wildcrafting, fire-building and vessel-building was one of the most important parts of her childhood. She is attending college in Vermont, where she is collecting data on the ranges of local mammal populations using motion-sensing trail cameras. Using these cameras, she has been focusing on some red fox dens, where kits are born each spring. This year there are five! She also studies dance, evolution, painting and ceramics.
