Nature Access for All

Your support helps reduce barriers to participation!

PaUl's 2024 summer ride

Paul set off on another epic ride in support of the Ava Jane Howerton Memorial Scholarship Fund. For the past several years, Paul Sutera (AKA Justin’s dad) has dedicated the proceeds of his “Journey of the Heart” bike-ride fundraiser to Ava’s fund. Ava’s fund helps us provide children of all ages with access to the benefits of nature, regardless of their ability to pay. You can read more about Ava Jane on her fund page. Please consider supporting Paul and his ride for kids by clicking the big green button!

Photos from Paul’s past few rides which have raised absolutely essential funds making it possible for us to fund our reparation fee waiver initiative and help with scholarships for families in need. Thank you Dr. Paul – You are truly the best!

GO PAUL GO!

Your energy and enthusiasm for this cause is so inspiring. We could not be more grateful for what you do for us and for the families who benefit from the funds collected from your rides each year.

If you want to know what a huge difference one donation can make, read a few love notes from families. These messages make it clear that our Nature Access for All efforts are some of the most important work we do.

Ava Jane howerton memorial fund

In the summer of 2018, Paul Sutera embarked on a 500-mile ride to establish a scholarship fund in memory of Ava Jane Howerton. In Paul’s words:

“This is about keeping Ava’s spirit alive. Even though she is no longer here, her spirit will live on in giving to others.”

JT Lee Memorial Fund

JT Lee loved being outside in nature all year round, especially in winter! He would have loved supporting teen programming connecting them with the natural world and each other.

Join JT’s partner Heidi and his family and friends in expanding nature education opportunities for teens.
