Assistant Summer Camp Director
Originally from Rochester Simon began his love of nature as a young child playing and getting dirty every season of the year, never stopping. From early on hiking, fishing, and foraging with his grandfather led to his many summers in the Adirondacks teaching outdoor cooking and survival skills to scouts. These past four years he was able to deepen his nature connection skills and teach at a year-round forest school nestled in the Finger Lakes. There he was able to share his joy of the natural world cross-country skiing, tree-climbing, open-fire cooking, and Atlatl use Simon always appreciates every moment he gets to spend out in the woods hearing birdsong and the babble of brooks exploring the mysteries of the woods with students.
