Poem of a Day Spent in the Arnot Forest

🌲💛

Crossing the stream to a place I’ll call home.
With a group of travelers with whom I will roam.
In search of spirit, who lives in the forest.

We seek her wisdom in the stream below us.
The community we desire is all around.
It lives in the trees, the wind, underground.
The warmth of the sun, the chill of the wind, the cold snow flakes glistening.
Reminds me that I am never alone and that the answers we seek are already known.

🌲💛

I spent the day traveling the Arnot Forest with my Primitive Pursuits cohort and wrote this short poem about my experience. The unknown is known if only you take a second to listen deep inside.
