The sound of sounds of our training week was the sound of conversation, storytelling, and laughter. Of all the camps that Primitive Pursuits will host this season, Staff Training is the first.
We come together during this time to prepare. We come together to bring out the best in each other. That’s what we love about Staff Training week and that’s what we hope to do with all of you this summer!

Sponsorships are a great way for Primitive Pursuits to make the most of their resources while strengthening ties to the Ithaca community. As part of my internship, I was asked to profile our newest program sponsor, Taitem Engineering.
I picked up the “ball” called Primitive Pursuits when I was 20 years old and ran with it because every child I had ever worked with, had ever met for that matter needed it. From those at Cornell’s daycare center to my own nieces and nephews.
On one of the most gorgeous days of autumn, kids in the Ithaca area were fortunate to have the day off of school! Many were out and about in town, or playing in their yards, and maybe a few were inside watching cartoons. Dozens were exploring the grounds of 4-H Acres as part of our first Hunter-Gatherer school break day of the season.
