Pals & Plants!
It is week 7 here at 4-H and it has been a sunny one! This week’s theme is plants so many groups are enjoying harvesting plants to eat, make dyes with, and more!
Gettin’ Crafty in Week 6
Week 6 was all about crafting! This week, Gifts of the Deer camp got to learn and take part in the hide tanning process.
Week 5 – Cool Critters!
This week’s theme was mammals. Campers got to interact with their environment including some cute critters! This week, specialty camps Luna’s Rising and Archer’s Apprentice explored the forest.
Explore and Explore and Explore More!
This week’s theme was “exploration,” as camps occurred in different locations across the Ithaca area. Campers had fun learning new areas and traveling while developing their wilderness exploration skills.
Emphasizing Community in Week 2
Week 2 was all about community. Campers spent time keeping busy in the forest. This week was also the first week of overnight camp at Arnot Forest Camp!

Dana graduated from SUNY ESF with an environmental studies degree. She sees great power in connecting young people to nature. Her personal mission is to support stewardship to further human and nonhuman community.
