Maxwell is thrilled to be back at Primitive Pursuits after many years of being a camper. Though he was born in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona, he spent much of his childhood in Ithaca. Out of gratitude for having received the gift of experiencing the outdoors in the way that he did, he decided to become a camp counselor in order to provide for young people the same experience of community and closeness to nature that he had growing up, as well as to enrich his own primitive skills and knowledge. Maxwell’s other interests include literature and storytelling, and he has a Bachelors degree in Classical Languages from the University of Arizona.
