Maya is a recent graduate of the University at Buffalo, where she studied English (BA) and Adolescent Education (MEd). These pursuits match her passions; Maya is an inquisitive person by nature, which means that she loves to learn or try new things and, even more so, she loves supporting others in doing the same. Maya is especially passionate about finding and facilitating opportunities to slow down, reflect, and imagine, whether this involves reading, writing, hiking, or some good, old-fashioned art and crafts. Aside from education, Maya cares deeply about animal rights and advocacy. She lives with four cats, a dog, and her senior rescue bunny, George, who recently moved with her to Ithaca. Overall, Maya is really looking forward to exploring the next stage of her life here, starting with Primitive Pursuits!
