We’ve been busy dreaming up the next unforgettable summer camp experience for your kids and we have some big news to share with you…May we have your attention please!
Summer Camp registration opens soon, please stay tuned as some of our most-loved camps often fill up in the first few weeks of registration. So let the noise of rain and snow fade and get ready to dream a little with us…But that’s not the big news!
As an organization that prepares future generations for unprecedented times ahead with the skills of awareness and adaptation, we’ve done our share of adapting over the years. We’ve listened to you all, the families and kids that share our mission as well as the dedicated staff who light those fires, and we’ve made it all work in an ever-changing economic climate.
The last two years have been another game changer. And so…
In the service of expanding our staff training opportunities and meeting parents’ requests for a longer camp day, all while keeping prices within reach*, we will be piloting 4-day camps with longer days.
With most camps now running four days a week, we will have ample time to keep our staff learning and growing so they can offer your kids the most positive and nurturing experience possible. Growing Wild camps (ages 3-5) and some Specialty Camps (ages 11-14) will continue to run Monday through Friday, with most others running Tuesday through Friday.
*We have scholarships for families with financial need as well as a Reparation fee waivers, call or visit our website for more information.
Here are the details of our new summer camp hours:
- Growing Wild (ages 3-5) Monday-Friday, 9 am -1 pm
- Forest Village (ages 5-7) Tuesday-Friday, 9 am – 4:15 pm
- Forest Explorers (ages 6-8), Tuesday-Friday, 9 am – 4:15 pm
- Pathfinders Camps (ages 8-10) Tuesday-Friday, 8:45 am – 4:30 pm
- Advanced + Specialty Camps* (9-14 years old) Tuesday-Friday, 8:45 am – 4:30 pm *except Bow Making and Gifts of the Deer which will continue to run Monday-Friday.
We’ve been told again and again that our summer camps have become the gold standard. Our secret sauce is our exceptionally trained staff who return year after year, and our small camper to staff ratio.
With these changes in place, we will continue to provide your children and teens with the highest level of positive youth development for years to come, and for the future well-being of our home, the Earth.
We plan to open summer camp registration on January 30th using a new registration platform! If you already have an account with us, most of your information will be migrated to the new system. More information on this will be coming soon.
