Thank you to everyone who attended our last Teen Adventure Weekend for the season. We had a group of 7 students camp overnight at Caywood Point on Seneca Lake. Although the weather gave us some challenges, we had a lot of fun and everyone pulled through and withstood the cold winds.
We were surprised this week by an unexpected guest… while playing tree tag in the morning this week, we spotted a fawn hidden in the leaves! Afterward, our navigator for the day successfully led us to back base camp.
Last week we had an incredible overnight camping experience at Hammond Hill State Forest. We learned how to identify wildflowers with Newcomb’s wildflower guide, and dug up burdock root in the field before hitting the trail.
This Tuesday during homeschool at our West Hill location, the children earned enough “party points” this week – gained from answering questions correctly in our naturalist’s corner – for a celebration filled with feast and games!
